The Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with Shayan Modarres’ argument, and the lower District Court’s decision, that Orange County Sheriffs Office Deputies should be held liable for unconstitutional raids conducted on Black and Hispanic owned barbershops in the Pine Hills area.
Shayan Modarres and Natalie Jackson anticipate moving forward to trial on this case this fall in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando.
